Thread: Phone resprings when I get MMS

Default Phone resprings when I get MMS
Hey all, I have an iphone 4 running v 4.3.3 that I just re-JB using jailbreakme.com on tuesday. After hours of re installing all my cydia tweeks back I thought everything was back to normal.

However, now every time someone sends me a text message, whether through my irealSMS or the iphone mms app my phone (and my wife's who's also JB with jailbreakme.com and running same firmware) just automatically recognizes the incoming text message and resprings itself. I've tried troubleshooting from deleting irealsms, to taking out sim card to re installing and it keeps doing it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Remove irealsms. It would stop. It's conflicting with somethings and hence..

Do you have any Cydia mods installed that may interfere with those programs? Have you tried disabling all themes?

Your phone keeps respringing, but have you tried a full reboot? Hold the screen lock and home buttons until you get the prompt to power down/ back on.

xtacy could be right - iRealSMS may not be updated for 4.3.3

It is something to do with you SMS app
So like Bitesms, quickreply, irealsms, I would remove any of Thoes and reboot and that should fix it

I agree w/xtacy, remove iRealsms and BiteSMS if it's installed. If that doesn't help, remove the latest Cydia tweaks one by one.

I've tried rebooting, holding down home and power but nothing. guess Im gonna have to uninstall 1 by 1 and see if that works :-( Thanks for your suggestion though.

    +1. Remove and test.

i uninstalled it then I had my wife send me a text from her iphone and again it caused me phone to respring. I figured it wasnt irealsms so I reinstalled it. I then uninstalled backgrounder, tested, made me respring again so i reinstalled backgrounder. I guess I'll have to do this for every tweek.

Installing cracked apps will cause troubles all the time. PLUS MMi does not allow the discussion

Do one thing. Disable all from mobile substrate and see.
Never ever remove a disabled dylib or u will have to restore.
Disable and see if it still crashes. Then enable one by one

Thanks for your reply and I apologize for my ignorance but how do I "disable all from mobile substrate?" is that in cydia under manage > packages?

Also, I don't know what removing a disabled dylib means

    Toggle sbsettings .
    Click on more.
    Mobile substrate addons
    Disable from there :-)

Uninstalling a disabled dylib means installing tweaks/apps when they are disabled from that menu

Thanks Xtacy for taking the time to help me! I will try and update. Again, thanks!

I have tried mobile substrate toggling each app 1 by 1 and had my wife send me a text message every time. Took my over 1 1/2 hours but my iphone 4 still resprings every time it receives a text message. I've run into a wall :-(

Gentlemen (and Ladies). Cracked app discussions and their problems are not allowed on MMi.

AppSync is a program for sync'ing non-authorized apps - aka: cracked.
