Default Dead 3gs, Voltage output on battery?
    Hey guys

My 3GS 16gb (Firmware 4.2.1) died yesterday, it had 70% charge and went off never to boot again. So I tried all the button pushing, soft boot, hard boot, booting with and without ITunes on and all the rest. I even left it on charge over night to see if it would help.....no.
So im guessing battery or MB but how do i know which? the battery should still have charge if its not broken and i was wondering if I put my voltage meter across it what I should I get out? Or if you godlike people with your vast and ever expanding knowledge would be able to suggest something Ive missed in all the pages Ive trawled through in the last 24hrs.

    Many thanks for your time

    Murray

Sorry to say, it looks like a hardware problem ... it could be in the little circuit board attached to the battery. Voltage can be checked on physical battery. You'll need to disassemble the iPhone, remove the battery, and untape the bottom of the battery assembly to access the battery wires. My guess is the battery still has a charge.
