    Default Jailbroken iphone 4.2.1 Error 1013
    i've got SHSH blobs for 4.2.1 and i was trying to update to 4.3.3, in the process i got this error 1013 and my iphone was done at least 75%, tried restoring back to 4.2.1 and now i have nothing on the phone so i can't kick it out of recovery mode, what should i do i've been at it for a several hours now going through random forum posts

    tried dfu mode? tried running tss server?

    yup, nothing has worked, i think i'm just gonna make use of the warranty i've got and get a replacement, there's no way apple can find out it's been tampered with if there's nothing on the phone in the first place right

    Google iTunes error 1013. You have to modify the hosts file and remove certain info. That's how I was able to resolve the error.

    oh wait, 1013. I remember that. it was because my anti-virus/malware thingo I had on my comp, (all three of them), AVG, would somehow block the iTunes server from activating it, so all I did after loading the firmware on it I'd just jailbreak it and it'd work. but if you want a new iPhone go for it

    yeah i tried getting modifying the host file by getting rid of gsp, didn't help me out too much either

    try running tiny umbrellas tss server? I dunno, try a different computer?
