Default iPhone 3gs not detected by itunes
Okay so im having a problem with my iPhone and im not really sure what happened but its not being detected by iTunes on two different computers so it must be something not functioning on the iPhone itself. Im trying to restore but it wont be detected. Now luckily i have a warranty until 2011 but the problem is i cannot restore it. I am jailbroken and i need to be able to remove my jailbreak but i cant do it without restoring so how would i do this? Restoring my device might work but the problem is the iPhone isnt being detected by iTunes...

Try putting it in dfu mode and see if the computer will recognize it. While the phone is connected to the computer hold the home and power buttons to make it power off. Once it shuts off continue holding both buttons for ten seconds then release the power button. Keep holding the home button for thirty more seconds. The phone should be in dfu mode now and completely black. If iTunes says that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode then do a restore. If iTunes still doesn't see it then reboot the phone to get out of dfu mode and do a "erase all content and settings" then take it to apple.

That is the best idea. If it does not work. Let us know. I have some work arounds.
