Default what kind of free ram is sbsettings telling you on iphone4?
just wondering what others are seeing for free ram on iphone4? i turned off multitasking, did the language pack delete tweak, and deleted a lot of daemons and it still reported only 341mb free. even though the phone seems much quicker.

so, how much ram does sbsettings say you have ?

I'm running 328 with only clearing the spotlight search.

Same mine says around 330 with all apps closed..it has 512mb total so it makes sense..I tries opening a bunch of apps to see how low I can get it too and it never goes below 52mb no matter how many apps I open

what 300+? nice, cant wait for my i4, my 3g tends to run 30-50 but as soon as a heavy app like ifile or cydia is open it goes down to like 14, sometimes even 8 (that tends to be right before it crashes )

    What apps are memory killers?

  9. #9
Safari hogs alot of memory, I lose about 70-110mbs of ram everytime, and depending on if you've downloaded "backgrounder" or not there are a plethora of apps that can eat up your memory

An app called free memory. That's what's running in the background. It does a good job but don't leave it running all day, it starts to hog up memory it self. But all and all it frees up a lot

I have 323 after a respring. I have tons cydia apps installed like lockinfo, snaptap, safari download manager, 3G unrestrictor, autosilent (doesn't work) and many more. I find that closing open apps through the stock ios4 double tap feature and the occasional respring keeps my RAM in check pretty adequately.
