That's about the max available memory you get on a 3G. It only has 128MB to begin with. Then ios takes a good chunk of that just to be up and running.

No. It is not the max available memory. My friend also have an Iphone 3G and his iphone has 69 MB. I tried to restart/respring that Iphone many times in order to see the different. Unfortunately, It was still 69 MB. I asked him to teach me but he said that is the secret. That's why I post this topic.

The available memory depends on what proceses or apps are running and using the memory at any given time. Your friend may have nothing running as well as disabled certain things that run automaticly when the phone starts. Most likely though your friend enabled virtual memory. There is an app in Cydia that will do this. In my opinion it's not worth it. Enabling the virtual memory makes the phone use the main storage space as ram. Doing so so can shorten the life span of your device, as the iphone uses flash memory which hass a finite number of write cycles. Virtual RAM is also not as fast as real RAM.

2 things you can do is:

    remove launch daemons
    http://modmyi.com/forums/file-mods/6...h-daemons.html

    &/or

    delete language packets
    http://modmyi.com/forums/general-iph...rformance.html

OK, lets try this, IRONING (searching) nope, HOUSE WORK (searching) nothing , LAUNDRY (searching) zip ,So much for the slogan "THERE IS AN APP FOR THAT"

Even disabling daemons won't get a 3G to 69mb of free memory. Removing language packs does seem to improve the phones speed and responsiveness, but it won't free up RAM.

Do any one know how to share MB between system memory and private memory? You can see your system memory and your private memory by using cydia. All of the FW 3.x take 500Mb but my friend know how to get 550 Mb so that the system memory can get more space and run fast 2 times than normal jailbreak Iphone. Unfortunately, he is a silly person and selfish.
