Default itunes alternatives under linux platforms
I've looked around and it seems like there are some alternatives to itunes. However they dont seem to apply to my need.

Anyone know of an itunes-like (but not as bulky) =]
linux based program that will work with the 3G[s]?

So far I found songbird fits my needs best (but unfortunately no support for 3G[s] from them ...yet

anyone had more luck than me ?

...so I found another possible solution to itunes. Unfortunately, for the full version you need $20 bucks... meh... it does claim to have support for the iphone, but the only way to get it to work on a linux platform is through WINE... ill give it a shot ...it cant possibly have a bigger footprint than itunes

    MediaMonkey - download

    Has anyone tried it?

There is currently no alternative to iTunes using iPhone OS 3.X for Linux.

I am running Windows XP in a VirtualBox VM. You can keep your music on the Linux partition and just share it to the VM. Right now, I think this is the easiest way to manage OS 3.X on Linux other than scp/DTunes.
