Thread: geotagging on 3GS

    Default geotagging on 3GS
    please move this if its in the wrong place etc
    but i read that the 3gs tags the photos taken with the 3gs
    location etc.
    but ive no idea how to find it!!
    i looked at img properties with no luck.
    anyone give me a clue or did i dream it !!

    I know if you import photos into iPhoto it shows the photo location on a map...I haven't looked anywhere else really.

    I think geotags are embedded into the EXIF data of a photo. you need an application that reads those, than you can read the geotag. but of course an application like iPhoto, that actually shows you the geotag on a map, is much more convenient.

    You need a free photo viewer like irfanview (for example) which can easily read the EXIF data. However i really doubt that it will be something different than coordinates, for which you will need something else to convert to a location.

    I use Locr to upload my geotagged photos. Available free from the App store.

    i found it in the exif data in CS3
