Default How can I get rid of scratches from the back of my black iPhone 3G?
I recently just exchanged my iPhone 3G for a "new" one (probably a refurb.) The back was perfect, however, in the last couple of days, it has been getting nicks left and right (most of them seem to be caused by the cases I have been using.) So i was wondering is there any way to buff these out before I buy an InvisibleShield type of film for the back?

I used 3M plastic polish (get it at an auto supply store) on my white 3G which got most of the scratches out.

No, just scratches. Just like on a paintedcar surface, if the scratch is down to the primer, polishing and et sanding will not get rid if it. A crack in the plastic is a crack. This said, I wonder iftou could use something to fill the crack like the stuff to fix torn vinyl or leather car seats. Never tried it. Although sone of those require heat from an iron to work. That would not be good for the iPhone I don't think

Someone told me they had a major scratch in their phone case and used that magic pen that Billy Mays sold for cars to fix it....

I take 0 responsibility for how it would work but his phone was flawless....
