Default For those who bought the new 3Gs iphone
My iphone, (very first ones that cost $600) I guess 1st generation? Anyways, is totally crapping out on me, and I want to buy the new iphone, that just came out. My question is, how is the sound to it? Does it still suck, like mine? Mine has always been really low, the reciever part, I can hardly hear the person on the other end Ugh! Hate it! So, I was wondering if they fixed that on the new phones, and if it sounds nice and loud? What about when using the speaker feature, does that sound pretty loud too?? Well, any feedback would be greatly appreciated, since I know it's not gonna be long before I gotta go and purchase a new iphone. Actually any information on the new iphone would be cool! But, really wondering on the sound when talking on it? Thanks

Having purchased all 3 versions of the iPhone, and still having all 3 in operation, my opinion is that the 3Gs volume is quite a lot louder then the 1st Gen volume. The 3G was a bit louder then the 1st Gen, whereas the 3Gs cranks it up quite a bit more. I no longer need to have my volume turned up to max all the time with the 3Gs. Same goes for speaker mode. Hard to put a number on it, but I'd say it's at least double the amplitude.

I never had an iPhone, but my 3G S is definitely louder than my 3G. And the speed is incredible. I'm sure you'll be even more impressed with the speed going from an iPhone to an iPhone 3G S.

The iPhone 3G S is significantly louder than the 2 G. It's an awesome phone!

    Awwww.

But Apple is really close IMO. There's only a few more things I need on the phone. The only hardware-related thing I want is a front facing camera, besides upgrades to things like battery, speed, memory, etc. that will always be improving. There aren't many more software upgrades I need until I decide against jailbreaking forever.

LMAO. That cracked me up for some odd reason. Wait. Is goodest even a word? Hang on. Let me go check.

Okay. I'm back. According to Merriam-Webster, no such word exists. However, according to the URBAN Dictionary, "goodest" is:

    1. a hilarious way of saying best, while being annoying and original!

    "This movie is the goodest!"

    2. The absolute best, nothing is better.

"Kyle has the goodest English in this office!"

Now I know why it struck me as funny :P

Personally, I think the 3G is perfect. I love the size. I don't think it's too tall, too wide, or too thick. Just perfect. I honestly can't stand how thin the iPod touch is.

So unless Apple changes the design (and I've only seen a few artists' ideas that actually look good like the ones below), I don't want them to change the size.

    lol Awesome!

And seriously, if PCs are okay with you, why switch to a Mac? Nothing against Macs (I'd love to have one), but my PC is perfect for what I need it to do. But the 3G S is definitely the best phone out there, so I would pick the 3G S over a Mac (leaving prices out of this) any day.

Yep! Almost put down 2,000 bucks for a MAC cuz I thought everyone and their mother had one, and was like the best thing ever, but, come to find out, Nope! Yeah, my pc does what i need it to do, since I don't use it for work or anything like that, just really to mess around with, plus for my iphone. So saved me some serious cash! Yaaay! hehehe But yeah, can't wait to get this phone, hopefully someone figures out a way to unlock it soon! Can't wait!
