    Default 3Gs + JB = Warranty Void?
Heard through the grapevine that apple is saying any Jailbroken 3Gs phones will automatically void the warranty, as I have a 2 year Hardware warranty I would like to know if anyone can verify this??

    As Always, Thanks!

Apple stated a long time ago that jailbreaking is "illegal" in their eyes and would certainly void the warranty. Was that way with the 3g too.

Apple have said that about all iPhones in the past. So long as no trace of the Jailbreak is left on the iPhone, they wont know it has been jailbroken, hence your warranty remains intact

There is no Jailbreak out for the 3Gs and I doubt there will be for a while so no need to worry

All you would need to do is put your phone in restore mode and re-install a legal version of the ipsw file. That's it, this removes the jailbreak and its traces....

any chance you could provide a link to site or thread that gives a tutorial that teaches one how to do that.

    1. Plug your phone into Itunes

LMFAO! I wouldn't dare try that. What if they tried to wipe some dust off the top of the screen and a drop down menu appeared. "What's this? That's not supposed to happen."
Does this rag smell like chloroform to you?
