Default EDGE (GPRS) Setting for Singapore (Singtel Mobile)
If you are one of iPhone users in Singapore, you can get online without using WiFi. This actually turned out to be dead simple (at least for Singtel Mobile network, so YMMV). If you are already a Singtel Mobile subscriber, you might have access to their IDEAS web site. From there, you can download the PDF that describes manual GPRS configuration (click the Getting Started on the left).

For slightly more detailed instructions, go to my blog.

Please note that the instruction is for Singtel Mobile users only. And also note that you may get a huge phone bill as you will be connected via GPRS. If you do not wish to be connected at all times, please be sure to delete the APN so that iPhone does not make connection.

When you connect to Ideas, using "internet, guest, guest".
You'll be connected 24/7?? Does it turn off automatically when your phone is in lock mode? or if its at Menu? or if you turn a wifi on?
