Default 1st gen iphone with 3.0 beta
Does anyone know where I can get instructions to install the 3.0 beta on my 1st gen iphone. My phone is unlocked and jailbroke and my carrier is Tmobile, I currently run 2.2.1. and I downloaded the 3.0 software.

From what I understand the updates don't update the baseband on the 1st gen, so I should be able to go back to 2.2.1 if I don't care for the 3.0 software is that correct?

OK this thread is all over the place but I like 3.0 very much and the features are very nice. Some app store apps do not work on 3.0 and some jailbroken apps do not work on 3.0. It really isn't that buggy at all. If you get there and do not like it, then you are correct your baseband will not be updated and you can always downgrade. If you have any problems with 3.0 or would like to see an app compatibility list, check out my 3.0 thread:

to the thread starter.. I've heard 3.0 is buggy, i would wait a little bit longer until it is widely available and more support is out for it.

I have been using 3.0 since beta1 and it seems stable enough for day to day use.

Still being on 1.1.4 is crazy stuff. Wow. And yes 2.2.1 is stable enough - with the 2G iPhone use the PwnageTool with a 2.2.1 firmware or update to 2.2.1 in iTunes and use Quickpwn.

You cant mess up your 2G. it is permanently unlockable now so dont worry.

AND where is the love guys?!

Agreed. I use 3.0 on a daily basis and have no glitches that would make me want to go back to 2.2.1.
