ill try to explain it i dont know if im answering the right questions, here it goes

it was on 1.1.3, wasnt working well, sound wasnt working etc, decided to restore it.

I restored to 2.2, then (because on the website it said it was possible) i tried to Ziphone it,
Ziphone put it into recovery mode, and now i cant get out of recovery mode, im trying to go into DFU to restore i cant figure out how

  6. #6
first Ziphone is crap and only works on 1.1.X
Search "jailbroken 2.2" and use quickpwn. You'll find a guide there

i first want to get out of recovery mode

i tried the button combination like 100 times.

hold power & home button for 10 sec. and release power button & keep holding the home button in till itunes connects to the phone.

tried that probably around 100 times, it stays in recovery

do it again, but this time hold the home button until iTunes recognizes it in dfu mode... could be 45 seconds or longer

Once the screen is black you will be in DFU mode. Keep trying...it will pay off.

I know its frustrating, breath in and out. Take it slow and try again. it will work. Maybe try restarting your computer and iTunes. Have a smoke and then try again.

Edit: I'm not going to join msn to help you, but you could join AIM and then click my little AIM icon ^^^ under my stats

    Fixed. Smoking is bad, m'kay?

I had a similar problem with my phone. When you hold the down the Power and Home buttons together, it will go to a black screen and then go back to Recovery screen. Just keep holding it until it goes black completely. Then hold down the home button until it is recognized by iTunes.

Well I was just reiterating that it happens to everyone and it is fixable. Plus, I felt that the Mr. Mackey was too off-topic to leave it at that.
