Thread: Need to sync MUSIC to iPhone without erasing contacts, apps etc.

Default Need to sync MUSIC to iPhone without erasing contacts, apps etc.
I am at work right now and I want to upload some musics to my iPhone, however I am worried about losing my contacts, apps and pictures since I sync my iPhone at home.

I know there is a method of syncing with multiple computers, but that is impossible for me now since I am at work and for the method I need access to the home computer now.

The good thing is that I do not have any songs yet on my iPhone so if there is a way to only transfer the musics to the iPhone without messing with contacts, pics, apps etc... then, please let me know.

I could be wrong, but when you get home and sync again, all of the songs will be deleted? Even if you are syncing no music at home, by syncing apps you are effectively syncing the media part of the iPhone, which will go over the songs and delete the ones not on that machine and add the chosen ones.

The iPhone can be synced across 2 machines>1 for media and 1 for the rest of the data i.e. contacts/mail etc.

I think Apps + Music come under the media bit and by syncing music you will either remove the apps, or add them to your works computer (if your signded into itunes).

You could use swapTunes. It allows you to keep two libraries synced to your iPhone. You can't view songs on both at the same time though.
