Question Preparing to sell my iphone.
I was planning on selling my iphone, and would like to have it so that when I do sell it none of my information, contacts etc are on the phone, but still unlocked and jailbroken etc. I still need the phone to be working, so they can test it etc before taking it off me. How would I go about doing this?

p.s I apologise if I have repeated a thread elsewhere or I have put it in the wrong section, its just I couldnt seem to find anything on here, it may have just been me typing in the wrong things...

well the best way is restore it.
and re do the unlock/jailbreak which is quite simple.
or try reseting the phone in the Settings

if i restore to factory settings, will that not put it to my original firmware version, or do i option click it?

i know its abit of a mission, but would you be able to give me a little step-by-step thing on how to go about restoring so that none of my settings and contacts are on the phone.
also what is the best free way of getting all my contacts onto my sim card ready to use on my new phone?

    really greatful guys

You cant load your contacts onto your simcard from the iphone.

And to restore, step by step:

    1. Plug phone in.

    2. Click "Restore" in Itunes.

Simple as that. It will reload whatever FW you currently have on there.

and then presumably just unlock/jailbreak it using pwnage tool?
will itunes automatically try and sync all my stuff back again?

    sorry about all these questions...

Itunes will ask you to either "restore from backup" or "setup as new" setup as new. And if it starts to sync, just stop it.

And yeah, you can use Pwnage or quickpwn to unlock/jailbreak.
