Default Application language files - wasted space?
I've always noticed the multitude of different language files on the iPhone and wondered 'how much space do these non-used files use?' So with the help of my handy dandy find command ...

    find / -type d -name "*.lprog" -exec du -h '{}' \; >> Lauguage Files.txt

I was surprised: almost 35MB. While it's not really that large when compared to the total (8 or 16 GB) -- it's still unnecessary and wasted space.

Has anybody done any tests into issues (if any) if the unused language files are removed?

Note: This find command takes over 1 minute to complete, so increase the default time-out (WinSCP's default is 20sec)

I think it's obvious why they include the varying languages and I doubt it would do harm to remove them.

For 35MB is it really worth it? Every time you update or restore you'll have to re erase it.
