Default "Pairing record is missing" error + Can't Restore - HELP!!!
I received the dreaded "iTunes could not connect to the iphone "iPhone" because the pairing record is missing" error.

I tried restarting my computer - that did not work
I tried reinstalled iTunes - that did not work

My biggest problem is that I can't even restore my iPhone because iTunes won't let it connect due to the pairing record is missing error. I've tried using other iTunes libraries and other computers and I still get the pairing record is missing error

    Any Ideas?

Default Fix for "Pairing record is missing" from Apple Help Desk
Thanks to the Australian Apple support line (2nd tier) for this...

I'm using Leopard (10.5.6 on my MacBook Pro) and I first opened iSync then iSync/Preferences then clicked the "Reset Sync History" button. Then I opened iTunes (same error message) and then pulled out the iPhone and re-plugged it into a different USB (directly on the computer) without quitting iTunes.

    It worked for me!!
