Thread: Setting up phone in iTunes?

Default Setting up phone in iTunes?
I haven't used itunes in a while, but I would like to get a free application for my iPhone.

This is the screen I am currently looking at:

I have flip-flopped firmware so many times recently that I have no idea what iTunes has restored. I obviously don't want to set it up as a new phone b/c that would erase everything (right?).

What do I need to do to get iTunes and my phone to sync up again?

When did you post this thread? Sept 9th (the date of your last backup) is not too long ago. You can restore to that unless you have a more current one. As long as you havnt added any new contacts to your phone from sept 9-21 then you shouldnt lose anything. Take a deep breath and give it a shot

I posted this thread just a couple of hours ago.

The problem with restoring is that my phone was on 2.* on Sept 9th, now it's back in 1.1.4.

don't do it then, it'll cause all sorts of nasty problems.

I chose set up as new.

That did it just fine and I didn't lose anything.
