Thread: Jailbroken 2.0.2 to legit 2.1?

Default Jailbroken 2.0.2 to legit 2.1?
Is this possible at the moment? I would like to upgrade from a Jailbroken 2.0.2 to a legit 2.1.

    Thanks.

you can always upgrade from jailbroken status to legit/unjailbroken.

Just restore to 2.1 and you should be fine...

I think you need to ensure your Itunes is upgraded to 8 before you do it.. To be safe.. Other than that.. Upgrade away... I did my Jailbroken 2.0.2 already..

Funny how Apple aways has an itunes upgrade preceeding a Firmware update...

I tried this and my mail app kept crashing upon opening. I am restoring to stock 2.0 and then I'm gonna go back up to 2.1. I'll let you know how this goes....

    "It just works." Riiiggghhhttt.

EDIT: Ok I don't see how this worked but ok. So I'm already on 2.1 and I click restore like I said I was going to up there. So it restores me to 2.1..... Umm ok whatever. I don't care what the thinking was behind that but as long as my apps are fixed. Which they are btw.

i'm going to take a wild guess and assumed that you upgraded/restored to 2.1 and restored from a jailbroken backup. that tends to cause problems with apps, specifically the mail app crashing. technically it just works but sometimes depending on what your steps are little tweaks may be necessary but either way, glad it's working now, as it should

Just restore, make sure you do not restore from backup.
