Default How can I retrieve photos in old backups?
Been jailbreaking my iPhone after a crash. Everything is fine, but I'd like to be able to browse the old backups on my computer and pull out certain things. Photos, contacts, etc.

    Any help?

    Thanks.

Unless I'm mistaken, the backups are compressed in a way that makes it unaccessable to a user. But I could be mistaken.

Well, there is a way after all. It's readable but only using this tool:

iphone-backup-decoder - Google Code But that only runs under OS X.

So, I've downloaded vmware and am now "getting" a Mac OS iso. Then I can run OS X virtually, run the script and then be able to look at the innards for what I need.

    Huh.
