iPhone in question was 1.1.1 OTB

So I unlocked a 1.1.1 OTB iPhone a few months ago for a co-worker, using iNdependence, which involved downgrading the firmware to 1.0.2 before I could Jailbreak, Activate and Sim Unlock it.

My question is this: Can I restore his iPhone to 1.1.3 through iTunes a redo the Jailbreak, Activate and Unlock without a hitch (i.e. turning his phone into a brick)? Or should I deactivate his phone, return it to its jailed state, and even throw the ATT SIM card back in there for safety precautions?

This past Monday I successfully restored a 1.1.2 OTB that was stuck in Recovery mode when trying to downgrade to an earlier firmware by doing the iTunes restore to 1.1.3 and performing the J/A/U, but that was on the new bootloader.

I understand that this thread walks the line of belonging in this forum and the Activation/Unlock forum, but the primary question is the risk in upgrading an iPhone that's been unlocked already to 1.1.3. Sorry if this is out of place.
