Bootloader is the iPhone program that loads up the operating system. Apple has released several versions of the bootloader and unlocks have been limited to which bootloader is running on your system. 1.0.2-1.1.1 shipped with bootloader 3.9. Newer iPhones run 4.6.

Upgrading to 1.1.3 doesnt modify the bootloader but it changes the modem firmware (baseband).

thanks for offering to do this, javiert30!

mine phone is an otb 1.0.2, upgraded to 1.1.1, then jailbroken at 1.1.1. it crashed (spontaneously) one day and automatically upgraded to 1.1.3 during the restore process.
    the serial begins with 7T737.
    which version is the bootloader?
