Hi all,

My home servers use SSL certs signed by my own root CA. I have tried installing my root CA X.509 certificate to the iPhone using the "Profile". This works, but the iPhone does not seem to recognize my CA as a truly trusted certificate signing authority.

My iPhone 3G is jailbroken with FW 2.01. Is there a way to embed my personal CA certificate more deeply into the OS, alongside the built-in trusted CA root certificate store?

One guess is that it may be inside the /private/var/Keychains/keychain-2.db SQLite file. If so, I don't know how to add another cert. There are also two CA cert pems in /System/Library/Lockdown, but clearly this is for the iPhone lockdown.

Does anyone know how to add custom CA certs to the trusted root store on the iPhone?

Thanks!
