Unhappy Stuck at "Incorrect SIM" screen after failed Virginize/1.0.2 restore
I've spend 4 hours trying various solutions and searching the interwebs for this problem.

-Have a phone with 1.0.2 that was unlocked with an old anysim.

-tried to virginize with the iphone.unlock.no virginizer. This failed.

-after this failure, wifi was lost, so following some forum advice somewhere, I restored 1.0.2.

-after 1.0.2 restore, got the "activate iphone" screen but with also an "incorrect sim" error saying insert valid sim. Despite this being the original sim in there!

-ibrickr jailbreak does not fix it

    -apptap does not fix it

-the jailbreak.exe in sshkit crashes when I try to run it.

Any ideas? The last thing I was going to try was upgrading to 1.1.1, then use the elite virginizer to try to fix whatever the unlock.no virginizer choke on. But that seems like a craps shoot.

I'm helping a friend with her phone and shes worried I bricked the thing.

    Thanks.

Default 1.0.2 no wifi, incorrect sim, 0049
I got the same issue. I did all the things that were mentioned on some threads on fixing the baseband, virginizing just to restore a fully functional 1.0.2 iphone. I really need help on this one. I'm stuck with this for 2 weeks now.... Please help!

ok, spent some more time on this.

It looks like I have a corrupt baseband. I have the IMEI 0049 situation.

This is fixable IF you can get an ssh connection or a terminal working on the phone.

But I cannot do this since I cannot get past the "incorrect sim"/world screen.

iBrickr seems to think the phone is jailbroken. I can install Apps via ibrickr. I just can't get at them!

Is there a way to get an ssh connection over the USB???

Also, my friend took the phone to the apple store to see what they could do. The genius bar guy was an idiot. He thought the SIM was hosed, since my friend had that phone activated at one point, but then canceled that plan. So we went over to the AT&T store and they gave us a new SIM (free of charge). But it did not fix the problem.

I did try virginizing the phone using mobile terminal.

During the downgrade to 1.0.2, wifi is greyed out and incorrect sim happens but IMEI is still correct.

When virginizing, no-wifi, incorrect sim and wrong IMEI happens.

This all started when the phone was accidentally upgraded to 1.1.3. If i get back to 1.1.3, IMEI is correct but i can't jailbreak or activate the phone.

I got these steps from one of the sites:

    1.- Downgrade to version 1.0.2
    2.- Use package Downgrade_1.1.2_complete (http://www.4$hared.com/file/29599306/4db767ff/Downgrade_112_Complete.html)
    3.- Activate/Jailbreak iPhone in version 1.0.2
4.- Install BSD Subsystem and Mobile Terminal using PXL installation of iBrickr (download the pxl package: http://www.mymoto.ca/iphone/pxl_package.zip)
5.- Copy "Baseband" folder to /usr/bin in iPhone
6.- Connect via Mobile Terminal to iPhone
    7.- Run the following commands
    launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
    cd /usr/bin
    chmod +x ieraser
    chmod +x bbupdater
    ieraser
    bbupdater -v
    bbupdater -f *.fls -e *.eep
(After a 2-3 minute wait it should be done. Now type
    bbupdater -v
(It should show 3.14_08... NOTE: the IMEI may still be wrong)
    launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
8.- Restore version1.0.2 again (to clean up)
    9.- Activate/Jailbreak iPhone in version 1.0.2
10.- Install BSD Subsystem and Mobile Terminal using PXL installation of iBrickr
    11.- Download Virginizer_Pack (http://code.g__gle.com/p/iphone-elit...irginizingTool)
12.- Connect via ssh to iPhone
13.- Copy Virginizer_Pack folder to /usr/bin in iPhone
    14.- Backup seczone (SLOW):
    0. cd /usr/bin/virginizer_pack
    launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
    chmod +x ./norz
    ./norz seczone.backup 0x3FA000 0x2000
    15.- Execute Virginizer procedure:
    0. chmod +x ./iUnlock
    ./iUnlock ./ICE03.14.08_G.fls ./eliteloader.bin
    0. chmod +x ./bbupdater
    0. ./bbupdater -v
    16.- Now reflash BB FirmWare
    ./bbupdater -f ./ICE03.14.08_G.fls -e ./ICE03.14.08_G.eep
    17.- Recheck el BB
    ./bbupdater -v
    18.- Restart CommCenter
    launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
    19.- Restart iPhone.
