    Default Stolen iPhone
Well my friend got his iPhone stolen, fortunatley for him that i told him to put a passcode lock on it just in case, thats what i do, even though a restore bypasses it, and he called AT&T and Apple up and AT&T locked the SIM and Apple blacklisted the serial so if its brought to them, they are out of luck. Oh its an OTB 1.1.2 phone and im probably one of few people in the school who would know how to hardware unlock it Anyways just running it down that its a good idea to do these small things, write down IMEI, serial, passcode lock, ect. So if this stuff happens you can make it as useless to them as possible. Wish i could get an Autobricking App for mine. Maybe we can get an App that allows us to triangulate it via our computer, could be possible, when i have some free time i'll look into it.

Damn that sucks. I don't know how I would live without my baby :P. +1 for the triangulate from computer application. Or maybe a remote bricking application? All good ideas.

So now if he ever gets it back he is going to have a blacklisted serial? I doubt whoever found it is going to care AT ALL about a warranty being voided. I mean, they got a free iphone, essentially. I don't see how these steps that your friend took really did anything for anyone except maybe your friend can sleep better knowing that his iphone is in the hands of someone who can't use the warranty. Probably the phone will end up getting sold as "used" and the poor bastard who bought it will be the one who is hurt the worst.

I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.

No, like since it won't be able to be used, if they try to get it fixed or see what the Apple Store can do for them, they have a nice suprise Hes working on it, he called the principle and the janitors at the end of the days will keep an eye out for it.

I just thought of this: if someone stole your laptop, couldn't the person could remotely brick your phone?

^^ lol. The triangulation thing is good in theory, but remember that it is not always accurate, this is why police and authorities really don't rely too much on it. For instance, I was placed 3.7 miles away from my actual location the other day. I hope I did the math right, but that's an area of about 33 miles to search ya know? The sad part is that the ****** that stole will most likely restore and sell it. Fortunately, at&t can blacklist the imei, so the poor bloke who buys it will be stuck with an unusable phone...
And it will be like a taco inside a taco within a Taco Bell that's inside a KFC that's within a mall that's inside your dream!
