Default first time 1.1.4 restore on a mac
    howdy all,

I think i just put my iphone into DFU mode to restore to a fresh 1.1.4 then upgrade to 2.0.... itunes recognized the DFU mode and said iphone must be restored.

In itunes i cannot click the check for updates button... Just the restore button... In windows i held down shift and clicked the restore button to browse for the file.... how do i do this on a mac...

if i just go ahead and click restore it starats talking about 2.0. and i dont want to upgrade till im at a fresh 1.1.4..... how do i do that??????

    thanks for the help.

P.S. I think i screwed up by updating itunes to 7.7 before doing the restore... any way around this with out having to downgrade?

    Mr B

on a mac you press option then restore to choose your file, however, there's no reason to be at a stock 1.1.4 prior to going to 2.0. you can go straight to 2.0

Its good to hear that! because that is what i ended up having to do.....

The fix was to just go ahead and update to 2.0 while i was stuck in DFU mode...

Fixed everything. Now all I have to do is find a step-by-step to use pownage on a 2.0 phone.....

thanks for the good news jtesnani
