    Default Is it possible.....
Is it possible to get a new iphone 3g. Sell it and buy a first gen iphone. And just switch over the sim card.
I have seen the 3g iphones selling for easily $800-1000 on Ebay.

Will I have to pay any fees downgrading from 3g service to edge?

Yep you can do that. No problem. No fees. In Canada you can anyways... I assume it would be the same everywhere else. I seriously thought about doing that. I had my 3G at about 11 am on the 11th, and I figured I would make a killing selling it on ebay. I couple went for over $1000 in Canada on the 11th. I figured sell it now, and then in a month or so when the price drops on ebay, just buy another one... but then I had the iPhone in my hand, and saw how beautiful it was, and decided I couldn't part with it.

The first one to be on US ebay was at $1200 with 34 bids at about 11:00 CST on the 11th...
