Default 2.0 Version Simple upgread Question - New to Iphone
    Hi

Kind Of New Now to this Iphone Area and Spent the last Day Reading a Few Forums and Installing a few Apps on my Iphone

I Have Bought a iphone with the following.. v1.1.4 + JAILBREAK

I have a Simple Question (sure it is for you guys) :-

I Pluged my iphone into Itunes and it Says a New 2.0 Version is avalible However i remember reading this will Remove the Jailbreak ???

Is this the case? if i upgread will i loose or lock my iphone? -

I Only Ask as a Few Good aplications on Itunes Require 2.0 however not knowing alot on Iphone i dont want to break my Iphone..

    Any Help Would be appreciated..

there is currently no jailbreak for 2.0 firmware so if you upgrade in itunes to 2.0, your phone will relock and will no longer be jailbroken so i definitely advise against it. check back here often as MMI always have the latest news and tutorial on jailbreaks, etc and ignore that message from itunes

If you only Jailbroke your phone (i.e. you use AT&T and you activated it through iTunes legitimately) then you may upgrade to the new firmware; however, YOU WILL LOSE YOUR JAILBREAK AND ALL YOUR APPLICATIONS DOWNLOADED THROUGH INSTALLER. There will most likely be a Jailbreak solution in the very near future so if you don't mind having a non-jailbroken phone you are free to go try the new 2.0 and start downloading appstore apps. Or you can be patient like those of us who aren't willing to part with our Jailbroken goodness.
