Thread: New 3G IPHONE

    Default New 3G IPHONE
    I have a question

If I choose to move to 3G on July 11, 2008, can I assume that my current iphone will still work as an Itouch, meaning that I can still use Wifi and installer to install apps if I choose

Then use my new 3G for those apps and making calls and GPS and stuff

The reason I ask is I like alot of people have invested alot into 1.14 and the apps that have been developed and I know the new 3G wont work for 1.1.4 apps for a long while if at all

So am I correct that my current phone would become a TOUCH only for music, wifi and old apps or new app on installer

    Thanks all for your comments

No, your old iPhone will still be an iphone. People who developed the apps will(at least some) will update them to work with 2.0

Aiyo, he meant like, He wont be using the Iphone ( old one, not 3G) to make calls and other phone things. Yes, it will Basically be an Ipod Touch, but with a camera. But to do that, your iphone will still have to be "Activated"( like, via Ziphone, iLiberty, PWNage, etc.) and jailbroken. But yea, I hope that answers your question. ( Unless they put a restriction on it, you can always downgrade to 1.1.4)
HAVE I HELPED YOU? Thank me!

Oh. Then, yea exactly what he said. But you dont need to reset it or anything. You just need to take out the sim and it should still be the same. It will just say it there is no sim.
