Thread: Removing Safari's File Size Limitations?

Default Removing Safari's File Size Limitations?
I noticed while browsing some NPR podcasts that mp3 files which give the "Safari can't open the page because it is too large." error message will NOT give that error message if you open them while the iphone is docked. Undock it, trying to play them gives that error message, docking it, no error, plays fine. So in other words, there's some sort of exception built into safari where it will ignore the file size limit if the iphone is docked.

Is there anyway to achieve this same effect when I'm not near my computer? I realize there's iradio, and a download plugin for safari (which Might not even work with larger files, I haven't tried it) but I'm looking for something that lets me play a LARGE mp3 file while its downloading (at least ideally).

Safari DL plugin works well. Or you can try playing it through vlc4iphone.
