    Unhappy Camera taking blank pics
Okay, so yesterday everything was working great. I had just copied the pics off with the windows camera and scanner wizard or whatever and set it to delete the pics off my device. I've done this numerous times before so it must not be this part.

This morning I took a bunch of pics, for the first time since yesterdays transfer, and when I went to look at them in the camera roll there were the appropriate number of blank boxes for pics. When I touch one, of crashes back to the springboard. When i go back to the camera roll, there is nothing there again, as if I hadn't taken pictures yet. If I take some more, the same deal happens all over again.

    Anyone have any thoughts?
    I have a jailbroken 1.1.2 on at&t

    Has nobody heard of this?

Is there anyway to reinstall the camera app without restoring the phone? I tried copying the camera.app contents from the dl section. Is there something else I have to do?

    anyone? Please??

    under /var/root/Media/DCIM

Delete every folder such as 100APPLE, 101APPLE and .MISC

    Work fine for me!

Thumbs up Yes, delete the ###APPLE folders under DCIM
I've read a lot (a LOT) of posts on the web regarding this issue. I've encountered said problem maybe a half-dozen times and until most recently, the chmod and/or chown tricks always fixed the problem.
This time, though, only the following worked:
    logged in as root
    renamed the DCIM directory
gave user mobile rights to create a directory in Media
    switched to user mobile
    created the DCIM folder
    THEN it worked.
That being said, deleting the subdirectories under DCIM sounds easier... keep in mind that this issue is strictly a permissions problem so if deleting the subdirectories does not work for some reason then use root to give mobile rights to the Media and/or DCIM directory... if mobile has permission to create a directory, the camera should be able to write to it.
