Default Iphone stuck in DFU mode, Cannot Restore in Itunes
Last Saturday I got caught in a storm where my Iphone was exposed to some water. I took it home, dried it out, and I managed to run a restore on it in Itunes to get it to boot. It had previously been unlocked. However, when the next day it refused to boot at all. I cannot get it out of DFU mode. I have spent many hours trying different things including: attempting to install different firmwares, trying iphuc, trying windows ipwn, and ibrickr. Ziphone is no help (i used it initially to unlock).

I'm getting to my wits end here and really need this phone to start working again. I'm pretty sure none of the electronics are damaged because I got it working after it was wet, but I think some firmware files are corrupted.

When I run iBooter and attempt to boot it I get the following error:

Does anyone have any tips/ideas to get it working again?

did you let it dry all the way before you booted the phone up again?
is the comp even recognizing the phone being plugged in at all?

Itunes does recognize it as an Iphone. It is completely dry now. Apparantly the other functionality just isn't there. I can get iBooter to talk to iBoot, but iBoot spits out the error listed in the op.

After you tried "attempting to install different firmwares, trying iphuc, trying windows ipwn, and ibrickr. Ziphone is no help" what kind of error messages did it give you? When you tried different firmwares what did iTunes do afterwards?

hmm 1 of my friend has his iphone dropped into pool he had the same situation like you but instead he used a dust removal spray, the ones that spout oxygen i think and turns the can very cold. after using it, he was able to restore it via itunes.
