Smile Restore 1.1.2 OTB back to factory?
    Hello,

I have a uk 1.1.2 otb. I downgraded, jailbreaked, oktoprep'd and then upgraded and jailbreaked again - so I have a nice working iphone on o2.

I wish to return the iphone to its original state. e.g 1.1.2 not activated, like when I bought it.

    How can this be achieved?

My reason is that after installing the BSD Subsystem, my iphone battery and performance is terrible so I want to start over and not install the BSD Subsystem this time.

So baically I wish to return the iphone to the original state it was purchased in.

    I would appreciate any help.

    Thanks,
    Matex5000

It's not the BSD subsystem. You likely installed SSH when you jailbroke your phone. SSH is the battery hound, and needs to be turned off when not in use. Netservices.app will do this for you.

Thanks for the reply guys. I have uninstalled SSH so I dont think that's the problem.

Can anyone confirm a restore in iTunes will work? I have a fear it may brick it.

    Thanks!

Download the 1.1.2 firmware (in the downloads section of this site) and store it someplace where you know where it is. open itunes, shift click restore and direct it towards this file. You are all set!
