If you did you should see a Installer icon on your iPhone click it. Then its going to refresh all the sources(Let it sit there) Then go to installer at the bottem of the screen and press All Packages on the top. Then you should see a search bar on top.. Type Summerboard then click it and installl it and reset your iPhone

I think I did. I went through the process on iLiberty and everything did what it should have. I'm not sure if there is suppose to be icons on my home screen on my iPhone though. or is there any other iPhone jailbreaking programs that you recommend?

Do you see a new blue icon on your iPhone's homescreen called "Installer"?

  12. #12
I do not have that icon on my iPhone. When I was trying to jailbreak my iPhone iLiberty asked to download new patches and I tried it but it kept failing. I don't know if the new patches should matter though. That is why I asked if there was any other recommended jailbreaking programs.

Thank you Safari for asking the samething i just asked.. Gtfo.

Ok you never jailbroke your iPhone.. You havent done anything for that matter yet.. And iLiberty is the safest thing right now for Jailbreaking... Apart from Winpwn.

Hastlyy, Can you come on the IRC? Go to the MMI homepage on the top right you should see it.. Join it so i can help you there.

    Zeals a ****. Ignore him.

When you run iLiberty you dont get Installer as standard. It installs Cydia.

You will be best off restoring your phone to 1.1.4 and running iLiberty again. This time UNCHECK Cydia, at the bottom go to PayLoads (ithink its called) and CHECK Installer. You may need to refresh your payloads in bottom right to see them.

Run iLiberty again, and this time you should have installer on your home screen. tap it, install all the updates, when it has finished refreshing after all of this, go to All Packages and search "BSD Subsystem", tap install then go in again and search "OpenSSH" and install.

Now go into Installer, and install/uninstall any apps that are there at free will. Summerboard is used to add/change themes.

Would reccomend you do some research on the apps before you install them, because ones like "Kate" can F up your phone a bit if you dont know what your doing.

Hope this is more helpful and keep us filled in.

    Thanks.

    LMAOing.... Honestly,Zeal knows nothing.

iLiberty installs CYDIA as a standard,BUT,u dont need to RESTORE!
Just go to Cydia-All Packages then scroll down to letter "i" and choose installer package, after that press home button. U should see installer icon on ur Springboard.
P.S-do not say thanks to Zeal, his advices are stupid.

Tick the Jailbreak, Unlock and Activate option in iLiberty, then refresh payloads and start the process. After it has complete you will see a new icon called Installer, but it won't work until you have selected your WiFi Connection. This is easy, go into Settings, WiFi and select your network, of course if your network has a passkey, input that and away you go. From here go to Installer, and it may ask you to update, leave it to update and download SummerBoard along with Customize.

Actually it looked to me as if Zeal was trying to help...offering for the person to come on IRC and all...so why are you attacking him?

    lol.

    well why did Zeal say:

"Thank you Safari for asking the samething i just asked.. Gtfo."

the other person was just trying to help.

If you read his last post you will also learn that you MUST have Installer, otherwise your phone is not jailbroken.

He runs Vista but is not familiar with iLiberty+?!

Zeal knows nothing. I read allot of crap and useless posts from him but ignore them, i use iLiberty+ sometimes and reading this one just annoyed me.
