    Default Apple 'unlocked' my iphone?
so my phone has been whack for the past few days - no audio, screen goes in and out, touchscreen stops working, etc.... and I went to the apple store, under warranty to get a new one. I got the last 4gb in stock, but they couldn't do the serial number crossover through the apple server in california because it was down (GVMR server i think?????).

the guy told me not to sync the new phone until tomorrow, pulled the other iphone out of the box, put in my SIM card, and i walked out, able to make calls, browse the web, etc, without activating it with a computer or anything.

    is that normal?

That's all well and good. I'm am O2 customer now, but my sim does not activate my iPhone. Is it possible to make it do so?

Point of fact, I will be putting my O2 sim into my iPhone once it's cracked, as I only pay 20pm for my current contract with them.

Whilst I'm at it, thanks to all the guys in the know for their help
