Default Anyone can help Costa Rica new iPhone owner
    Hi all,
Friend of mine just arrived today to Costa Rica from Texas with my new iPhone.
That's the good news, the bad news is that I have no clue HOW to insert my sim card and how to unlock it.

Let's start with the sim card first

    Can anyone help?

    TIA
    George

    I found that I have FV 04.04.05_G
I also have the LCD panel ID if need it.

You need to push a pin or paper clip into the small hole at the top of the iPhone which will make the SIM holder pop out.

To unlock, search for iLiberty on the forum and follow instructions. It's real simple.

Hi. i used ziphone to unlock my iphone. so far, no problems with it. i suggest you use ziphone, i found it to be the simplest way of doing it. you just download the file from www.ziphone.org, install the new ziphone and follow the instructions.
i heard there's also this new "pwned" way, haven't tried it yet though. look through www.iclarified.com, maybe you get more info...hope it goes well

Sorry guys for the late reply.

I did use iLiberty and everything went smooth and it's working great.
    Absolutely no problem.

Since then I read horror stories about Ziphone all over the web.

    Again, THANK you all.
