Default Volume Boost 1.1.4 Not Working
I have a 1.1.4 iphone that has been upgraded OTB from 1.1.1.

Have tried Volume Boost 1.1.4, iAmp, manually altering the volume file, etc. but nothing appears to increase my volume (ring tone, music, movies, etc.)

    Any help would be appreciated

Theres a thread about this somewhere, its a "hard mod"

All you do is to use a needle and poke holes thru the left handside grille

at the bottom of the phone

    EDIT

    Found the thread, look here

    http://modmyi.com/forums/showthread....ghlight=volume

    This does really work

Yup. OS modding does not help increase the volume. The hardware's simply not made for it.

I am not about to poke holes into the plastic dust protector. I have access to two iPhone, one where volume Boost works and the other one does not.

Does anyone have any suggestions, is the baseband have any impact on the mod working?

It's not poking holes into it. It's just clearing dust away that's already been collected tehre.
