Default Buying an iPhone for outside of the USA
I am going to go to United Stated in my vacations and I would like to know what is the best way of buying an iPhone. I mean, can I just go to an apple store, buy one and take it to my country just like that?

You sure can . Just be sure to have a credit card on hand, as they are required to buy an iPhone. Take the phone home and have some fun.

Nope, you can buy an iPhone right in the Apple store and take it home without signing a contract. Just plug the phone into your pc and use the unlocking program of choice. I personally use Ziphone, but have heard iLiberty and Pwnage are better.

Do you think Apple store will sell you the iphone without activate? How about by mail order?

At this moment, Apple will only take orders online, by phone or at a local Apple store. The process is simple though, the only thing you have to sign is the credit card receipt thing. Buying an iPhone at the Apple store is like buying an iPod or even just a set of headphones. The activation process is all done on iTunes on your own computer, at your own time. Have fun with your new phone!

However, you might get bogged down by taxes when you bring it back into your country.
