Excellent!!! Finally some written proof I can bash Simon with - that shows empirical evidence (see their charts) of reduction of RAM use while using WKWebView!

    Relevant excerpt:
The other advantage of leveraging WKWebView is a decrease in memory and CPU usage on the device. Our tests have shown a 50% to 80% decrease in both memory consumption and CPU usage. Your individual results may vary of course, but this looks very promising!
    Thanks for the article link!!

Lol, you can't bash me with something that I found. I never said you were wrong just wanted to know where you had read it. Now if we can just get a LS tweak to use the newer wkwebview on iOS 9...

    Greetings,

I haven't been in this thread in a while... Is random respringing still an issue in iOS 9, when using Lockscreens or widgets?? I haven't installed any yet in fear of this issue?? I'm on iOS 9.0.2 using a 6S.

    Not for me.

On 6S I haven't heard of even one respring instance yet. On 6S+ I've heard of only 2 - and myself and the one other guy who tested (Bliken) were running full animations + Timed Walls in UniAW7.1 on both the LS in LockHTML4 and as an iWidget on Page 1 of SB. Created a respring within 30 seconds to 5 minutes. -- Again on 6S+.. So we were purposefully pushing the limits of UI Web View in 9.0.2 on the 6S+..

So let's just say.. to be nearly bullet proof going forward, even on the 2GB 'S' phones.. you'd want to be hoping for an update to gAPI+, GL+ and GB+.. But if you just want a nice Lockscreen widget even with Animation - on 6S - you're good to go! No resprings.

6S doesn't like gifs with hundreds of frames. I can get a respring out of a 6s in under a minute running the right gif.

Lol.. Fair question.. Well for iOS 5,6 and 7 we didn't even have a jailbreak til Christmas or after.. Since the Chinese boys have given us JBs for 8/9 within a week of the new phones being out we've grown kinda impatient. Lol.. It's all a matter of perspective.. But I do agree we need those tweaks updated.. The JB's been out for quite a while now.. And iWidgets just ain't cuttin it..

I don't like iWidgets and jb isn't much with out the sbhtml. G+ etc and hsd. Setback is ios9 but wasn't ios8 which is strange. But I am trying to b to patient but it's so hard which the main tweets don't work.

iWidgets causes 6+ to respring with minimal animations regardless. Some of us need GB+ and GL+.
