Thread: Widget Weather 2.0 - New and Extemely Improved

  1. #1081
I have none of those tweaks mentioned and what I'm running on my Springboard has no animations. Like I said, all of a sudden my phone freezes, it's unresponsive and I have to hard reset it.

Does it still do that when you uninstall WW2? And are you on iOS8?

    When I uninstall WW2 it doesn't happen. Yes, I'm on iOS 8.1

Yeah.. Something weird, ellersbee.. Sorry.. First report I've heard - your symptoms.. Try uninstalling completely.. And in var/mobile/Library/Preferences getting rid of anything with sddev in the name.. Reboot.. Reinstall and see if problem still exists..

This is the first report with these issues.

I would really need a crash report, but it sounds like your not crashing, so I'm not sure it would help. There are only a few tweaks that conflict, and they are all weather based.

That's how I do it. If I have an old widget I like or see one shared that's MyLocation based, I just recreate it using the WW2 base code. That way it's more of a Photoshop job than a coding job. Then it's just a matter of hiding and moving things around in the css and/or js files.

Default Widget Weather 2.0 - New and Extemely Improved
Yes, in fact what I've actually done on occasion is simply grab the CSS file from the old my location widget and its .html file. And just point them to the main.JS of a WW widget. Believe it or not the widget works and it's 60% working when I first open it in TacoHTML because generally all the names for html div and css # items were the same in myLocation days..

    #sunrise
    #balloons,
    #temp, etc, etc..

They really haven't changed over the years.

Starting with a WW2 widget and importing the html, CSS files and Images folders from the myLoc widget is the easier route to take for sure.

WW2 is working fine in 8.3, so unless someone's got an issue, enjoy!

The only way to be sure is to look in your Documents folder and see if there is a widgetweather.xml file in there.

Same here, I had an xml file after initial install and respring, never even had to reboot. If anything it seems to be working a little better as the city update seems to be a little snappier compared to on 8.1.2. I'm running 8.3 on a 6.

Would need to know what widget you are using and which tweak to run it (SHTML or GB+).
