Try turning the "Force refresh" to off. Otherwise it looks good. Your lat lon values should have a few more decimal places to be a little more accurate. Turn on the MyLocation switch and then get your coords from the MyLocation.txt file. Then you can turn it off.

Ok, obviously if you can run in fixed mode will use the least amount of battery, hardly any.

But if you want to run in GPS mode, then increase the Distance Filter and the Desired Accuracy. The larger these distances, the less often it needs to update. I run 25m and Hundred Meters respectively and even while traveling, it works great and is plenty accurate.

    Hope that helps.

Try setting GPS Mode to "Significant Change", should help battery as won't update till you move at least 500 meters, "Standard" mode is constantly tracking every footstep you take with your settings.

It should be noted that when using "Significant Change" the "Desired Accuracy" & "Distance Filter" settings do nothing.

Thanks Ian, I should try this setting cause my battery is also drain really fast with "standard" GPS mode.
is there any other setting that I should change to consume battery power? How about update interval? I use 30 minutes, myLocation is off.

Apple warns about the battery usage in their website when using "Standard" mode, it's a good move for WW2.0 adding the "Significant Change" option.

Apart from changing to "Significant Change" mode, I feel other changes in WW2.0 (apart from if you set update interval to 1 minute or something silly like that) will have little impact on battery, best you make some adjustments to UniAW, here is an answer I gave via PM to someone, maybe it helps you:

Personally I’m currently not using WidgetWeather, I’m testing my own app to get the coordinates & set UniAW Config.js to Weather Source gps, but with gps selected you don't get hourly forecast or UVIndex.

But the re-springs are not from WidgetWeather, changes in the settings of WidgetWeather would only effect battery life. When I do use it I use:

    Update interval: 15 minutes
    Location Update: GPS

    GPS Settings:
    Gps Mode: Significant Change
GPS Distance Filter 25m (only works if GPS Mode = Standard)
GPS Desired Accuracy Hundred Meters (only works if GPS Mode = Standard)

The Latitude & Longitude are for you to input your coordinates, needed if you set Location Update to "Fixed".

    Additional Settings
    Additional Location 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5: On iph6+ don't use this, switch them all off

    Units of measure, your choice.

    Extra settings
MyLocation, this option just makes a "myLocation.txt" file in your "var/mobile/Documents" folder, it will just contain you current location Lat & Long coordinates, if you have no widgets that use "MyLocation.app" then switch this off.
Writing Enabled: ON, you need this on so WidgetWeather writes to the .xml file (I think), just leave it on always.
Write Raw Data: OFF, only used for troubleshooting mainly, leave it off.
Write Log: OFF, same reason as Write Raw Data.

Force Refresh: OFF, If the widget doesn't seem to be updating automatically or you have some difficulty getting it to write the .xml File the this "switch" more or less tells it to "Get Location Now", just switch it on then off again.

I think thats every option there is!

I don't know why some people can run UniAW on 6+ and some can't, they say that 8.1.1 is a good improvement over 8.1.

In UniAW, because of the issues with i6+, & also for people wanting to conserve battery, In the Config.js file, you should disable balloons, wind effects, second hand (if using analog clock), seconds (if using digital clock), rainbow, twilight effect, astronaut, full screen fog/haze, full screen clouds, wiper and possibly Wire Rain too (or just select one rain effect instead of three).

    Hope all this helps.

    Ian.
