I have a couple of most likely stupid questions. First, when do I need to have the MyLocation toggle on? Is that for widgets that use MyLocation? Second, what is the WidgetWeather_Base entry in WB for? I'm not using any widgets on my LS. Do I need to have that activated in WB?

My understanding is that my location enabled is for those widgets that run on my location, to install on lockscreen u need to have groovylock from cydia & then ull place yer WW theme in there via iFile or ifunbox(something like those). Once uve done that u can access WW & GroovyLock in your stock settings app.
    Hope that helps
    If not someone please correct!

That makes sense about the MyLocation toggle.

I'm not trying to put anything on my LS. I'm just wondering what the WW entry in WB is for.

As for the MyLocation toggle, it needs to be used with one of the location update settings like constant or semi as it is pulling the lat/long that is sent back.
When I posted that this was added, I also said you need to use constant for it to set the lat and long.

I'll mention it to SD however.
Thanks, Durben. I was not speaking at all to "design" but to function. The fact is that in previous versions, the additional neighborhood data would update in Fixed Mode. Now they do not. So either SDDev took the feature out or something has ceased to function. I would just like to find out which it is.

And I'd forgotten that you said Constant had to be on for MyLocation feature to work. Would be nice if the .txt were generated in Fixed mode too so that people's new Fixed location would transmit to the old widgets. Some use Fixed mode as a battery saver.

Thanks for sending the report on to SD.

The WW LS in WB is just a free example of the data that you can use in building your own LS. If you don't need it, you can delete it.

I think it might be more helpful for the mylocation.txt file simply to be updated with the coordinates in the XML when in Fixed mode. The XML contains coordinates when in Fixed mode.

Out of respect for other devs, that do not use WidgetWeather. Please talk to your inner circle about changing the description in GroovyLock. Users do not need WidgetWeather with every lockscreen that pulls weather.
    thanks

    Then download this: DBWeatheriOS7.cydget

Copy to System/Library/LockCydgets and activate it in Settings App (drag to top and respring) (touch functions do not work yet)

All options are in the Config.js for things like setting static weather, using iOS7 walls as backgrounds instead of picture walls ect)
You must also be running Widget Weather tweak (just and fyi if you havent installed it yet as without it this lockscreen will not work)

If you're already using GroovyLock just download the one on the first post and copy to var/mobile/Library/GroovyLock

Some pics with picture walls or with iOS 7 weather app walls

But only 10% use WW for their widgets. I don't think the issue is widespread enough to warrant a rewrite. For me personally, it's about 50 percent WW and 50 percent my location and since WW now generates the text file for my location, it seems appropriate.

That's just my opinion though. I would love to know if others think that GroovyCarrot should change the description. From my point of view it seems without this, people will not have the text file or xml file that a lot of widgets use and will complain that the tweak doesn't work. Seems like a reasonable description to me but I'm open to hear other points of views.

Just to be clear, the tweak only suggest downloading Widget Weather for widgets that pull information from it.

How is this relevant on this thread?

I have no control over what GC lists as a description or whatever it is that is bugging you this time.

I installed this, checked it in WB and it does not show up on my lockscreen. I did what it said to do if it doesn't work in post one and still nothing on my lockscreen... any ideas? Thanks!

Inner circle? I thought Jake was in your inner circle with the JuneScreen and all. I'm so confused.

I think most lock screens up to this pint were using either WW or MyLocation, and seeing as how MyLocation is no longer needed with the update to WW, seems like a reasonable tagline to me. June is pulling his weather from Weather.com as far as I can see, but I'd have to say that would be the minority source.

My question was answered. I meant no disrespect for Inner Circle. I just didn't want to name names is all.

As I posted before, GC did that for me for his promotion for NGUI that is all.

Sorry to go off topic again. peace

All I meant was you have the same ability to ask as anyone here, and since y'all were working together, it shouldn't be an issue, ahy? I don't think anyone thought you were being disrespectful in any way. Damn these boards and lack of voice inflection

That's how I see it too. I don't know if Jake will change it because he stated on here that he is looking into integrating WW more into his GroovyLock.

Edit. Jake will comply with Junes request and reword it. Glad that this has been resolved.
