Thread: Firmware Spoof

    Default Firmware Spoof

    I'm currently running FW 3.1.2 just downgraded from 4.1, which I couldn't take anymore for a # of reasons but it seems that I can't download some iTunes app unless I'm on 3.1.3.

    Does anyone know of an app that'll trick iTunes into thinking I'm on FW 3.1.3?

    I know I could just upgrade to 3.1.3 and then JB again, but going with a spoofing app is an easier way to go.

    Yes, there is an app in cydia that will make iTunes think you are on 3.1.3. Its under tweaks I think.

    I looked around on this site and there is an app called 'Firmware 3.1.3' from the bigboss repo, but I can't find it in cydia.

    Firmware 3.1.3
    Change your firmware from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 - tricks apps like appstore and iTunes so you don't get bothered to upgrade to 3.1.3 in iTunes anymore and so you can install any current appstore app.

    Repo: BigBoss

    Version: 3.1.3
    Author: BigBoss

    Pre-Depends: firmware (>= 3.1.2)
