Thread: Idea for a launch daemon or similar?

  1. #1
Default Idea for a launch daemon or similar?
I usually have messages, calander and contacts always open in multi tasking because it opens them alot faster when I need to use them.

I only have a 3G so speed is quite a big issue, I would like to know if it would be possible to create a launch daemon that automatically opens these (or other) apps when the phone is launched, similar to how phone and mail are always open. Or create something so that even if the process is killed, messages automatically reopens like phone does!

Only a thought, and I would have no idea how to do it, but if it is possible it would be cool for someone to do it.

It looks like the iScheduler app (from Cydia) will do everything I want without having to learn launchctl!
