If your iPhone connects via bluetooth to your car stereo, it will automatically play the iPod music player, whether you want to or not, with no options anywhere to prevent it.

When I'm in the car, I want to run Waze and Pocket Tunes.
Memory is really tight with both of these running, so if iPod tries to fire up as well (during a break in Pocket Tunes signal for example) it can kick one of the other apps and then I have to kill all, clear memory, restart the apps. Very irritating!

Will the following work: Rename the iPod app executable file so it can't be found by whatever starts it automatically. Then make a new app (with an icon) that can launch the renamed version of the iPod app executable file when *I* want to.

If the idea is sound, how does one go about doing this? I assume it's some kind of shortcut icon jailbreak app.
