    1. Make sure you have ldid. Try "ldid -s whatever". It should give you some error other than unknown command. If you get unknown command go to step 2. Otherwise go to step 3.

    2. To get ldid, type "apt-get ldid"

    3. Navigate to the file that needs to be signed, this would be vot, VoiceServices, voiced, etc.

    4. type "ldid -s file" replacing file with the file that needs to be signed, for example vot

    5. type "killall SpringBoard"

Thank me if it works and also thank me for Contributing to this Development, Thanks =)

Not that sure, just remembering which ones are signed.

Yes, get the permissions on that M68AP.plist changed to 777.

I doubt we should be setting M68AP to 777..would cause errors I believe

EDIT:: Phone boots with 777 on M68AP but then freezes..and sometimes goes to "Sad iPhone" screen...strange
Chris can u tell which files/folders not 777 as that might be the cause

Ok, keep permissions as is then, sorry. M68AP.plist is standard permissions. all other voiceControl files and folders need to be 777.

    Cheers,
    Chris

    *EDIT*

Permissions are needed to get this working right.
It really does not matter if its on 777, because that just means it works 100%, it can read, it can write and it can execute.

so i keep the M68AP.plist to 644 as it was and which files specifically need to be signed

  9. #149
None of the files should need signing

Different iPhone, so may be needed, just to be sure they are signed.

This will turn out gd in the end. It worked for a second, then I did something stupid and had to restore. I was in the process of fixing it up again, but SSH keeps crapping out on me when I want to write to the System files (even though they have 777 Permissions ??????).

Yes, Setup in your SFTP Client so that when you upload the files/folders to the device it automatically sets permissions on them to 777, Thats what I did.

Its complicated. I just gotta fix this SSH Issue, once that is done I will get it working again? any idea why it is not working?

    Cheers,
    Chris

Ok, I will do a restore of my device tonight and run through the installation again. If I nail it correctly again it should work this time.

You wont believe how close we are to getting this to work.

Try the instructions again, just add different stuff to it, If you have a copy of the iPhone 3GS Filesystem, that will help with comparison, there may be a dylib we are missing, don't think so, as I am not being given an error anymore.

    Cheers,
    Chris
