Thread: lost everything in ssh

    Default lost everything in ssh
    in ssh i clicked on "applications", move to, and the target directory was : /*.*
    and i lost everything, and the iphone now refyse to start (just the apple on the screen)
    anything i can do to restore it???

    DFU mode and restore in iTunes.

    ok it worked, but...
    i had an unlocked iphone 1.1.4 and when i restored it, it automatically upgraded to 2.2.1, and i have now to unlock it again
    do u have any idea how to unlock it?

    you should have shift+click restore in iTunes to select the same firmware. You need to research this site on basebands, yellowsn0w (the 3G unlock) and possibly bootloaders.

    Don't worry, you don't need Yellowsn0w (since you don't have the 3G, since you had 1.1.4 firmware). Just install BootNeuter (from Cydia), start it, select Neuter and Unlock, and your phone will be SIM-unlocked.
    Windows tool to edit .plist, .strings and .nib files: pledit.
    Or use a website that will convert the binary form to a readable format.
    On iPhone you can convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities from Cydia), or edit them with iFile (from Cydia).
