    Default WeatherFurik configuration help
    I need help configuring WeatherFurik. I have gone into the configureme.js file and changed the "var locale" to my city, state which didn't change the default location, as well as entered in my zip code which also didn't work. I did a google search on this and this is what I was led to believe I needed to do. It shows the default location, but not my location. Can someone help me out with this?

    see if you can change your location in wather.html or widget.html which ever is in this theme...configureme.js is not working with iOS 4

    If you go to /Library/Themes

    You'll see the Configureme.js. I entered 'Boston, MA' with the single quotation, but that didn't work. I entered my zip code instead and that worked. Here's the thing though, there are 2 configureme.js files. So I configured both files. Try that

    If you go deeper into the directory, there's a weather widget folder, which contains the 2nd configureme.js file.

    Try that

    -go to /Library/Themes/WeatherFurik.theme/private
    -edit "configureme.js" with any text editor program
    There are directions in there of what to do with comments, which is indicated by the //
    -Boston, MA does not work for me, but I entered my zip code instead with single quotations --> 'zip code'
    -Then go to /Library/Themes/WeatherFurik.theme/private/weatherwidget/private
    -You will see another "configureme.js" file

    If you want to use your own wallpaper. Grab your wallpaper and make sure to resize it to 320x480 pixels.

    If there's anybody out there who knows how to change the font color, please share. The default text color is black, which is too dark for my current wallpaper.

    Improvements that I wish I can see later on:
    -Whenever you open a folder, the wallpaper turns black, so maybe a fix is in the works.
    -Maybe integrate the location of the default weather application for the iPhone to change the location with this tweak. So we don't have to keep changing it via SSH

    ok so I changed this to false and got the temp right
    // Set to 'false' if you'd prefer Farenheit
    var isCelsius = false //true|false

    I did it on both configureme just to be sure.

    thanks for the tips.

    To change the city color go to the stylesheet your using which by default is myopia. Then under the city section add color: white; but remember that theres 2 myopia stylesheets you have to edit.

    Thanks. It looks like the myopia.css is different from the first one that you see.

    It looks like we have to configure the 2nd "configureme.js" and the other files.

    City color, meaning the font color of the city. I changed mine to white, because of my wallpaper.

    My new question is this: How do you change the time to 24 hour format? I've looked through multiple files, and I can't find the clock format.

    Also, after looking at some of the code, you can place the result of the weather anywhere on your screen. One can completely customize it if they wish.

    can you provide a screenshot of your codes please(change city font colour)? because i think i just messed mine up :$

  15. #11
    This is the first myopia.css:
    #city{
    text-transform:capitalize;
    font-variant: small-caps;
    font-size: 0.8em;
    color: white;
    }
    And the other one in the weatherwidget folder is this:
    #city{
    margin-right: 32px;
    text-transform:capitalize;
    color: white;
    font-variant: small-caps;
    text-shadow: 0px -1px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.7);
    font-size: 1.0em;
    }
    Sorry if it looks messy I'm doing this off my phone.

    Anyone know how to remove or move the time/date on the left? I've managed to adjust the weather but I want to remove the clock and date.

    Before anyone asks, yes the AppStore update is FaceBook

    Thanks for this thread. I've been trying every weather app to work for my location and I finally got it to work from the advice above.

    i know this may not be the topic of discussion here in this thread but just for your info, the facebook fix is out. I've tried it and it works great for me. Add the repo at cydia, http://repo.hackyouriphone.org/

    this is how:

    <html>
    <head><title>newclock</title><base href="Private/"/></head>

    <style>

    SPAN#clock
    {
    font-family: Helvetica;
    font-weight: bold;
    color: #d1d1d1;
    text-shadow: 0px -1px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.7);
    /*text-shadow: #FFFFFF 0px 1px 0px;*/
    font-size: 26px;

    }

    SPAN#ampm
    {
    font-family: Helvetica;
    font-weight: bold;
    color: #d1d1d1;
    text-shadow: 0px -1px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.7);
    /*text-shadow: #FFFFFF 0px 1px 0px;*/
    font-size: 15px;

    }

    TD#date
    {
    font-family: Helvetica;
    font-weight: bold;
    text-align: left;
    color: #d1d1d1;
    text-shadow: 0px -1px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.7);
    /*text-shadow: #FFFFFF 0px 1px 0px;*/
    font-size: 13px;
    text-transform: uppercase;

    }

    </style>

    </head>

    <body >

    <table style="position: absolute; top: 320px; left: 21px; width: 180px; height: 461px;" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="LEFT">
    <tr align="LEFT" valign="top" border="0" cellpadding="0">
    <td height="12" valign="top" margin-left="20" >
    <span id="clock">
    <script language="JavaScript">updateClock(); setInterval('updateClock()', 1000 )</script></span><span id="ampm">
    <script language="JavaScript">amPm(); setInterval('amPm()', 1000 )</script>
    </span>
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td id="date" valign="top">
    <span id="calendar">
    <script language="JavaScript">calendarDate(); setInterval('calendarDate()', 1000 )</script>
    </span>
    </td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    <object data="WeatherWidget/WeatherWidget.html" type="text/html" height="480" width="320">
    <p>Place WeatherWidget in Subthemes</p>
    </object>

    </body>
    </html>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"/>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="Sources/appleAccuweatherStolen.js"/>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="Sources/yahooWeather.js"/>

    ----------------------------------------------

    that removes the time completely:

    just open the widget.html in the main folder (use text edit or something similar like wrangler)
    then just select all and del. then paste the above code

    have fun

    DJ RapMaRz

    PS:
    I wasent jokin' when I took the picture, it really was 4:20 and 69 degrees out

    If anyone happens to figure this bit out, please post it up. I've got it customized the way I want it, but the black background bit annoys the hell outta me.

    Does anyone have issues with weatherFurik?

    My weather doesn't auto update anymore, but the time and day still works. I either have to respring weatherboard or restart the iphone.
