    Default Cydia problem!
Hi guys! Yesterday,I had nothing to do,and so I decided to install Cydia on my iPhone. Its pretty cool, but I have an issue!
The problem is,that my apps, which I installed through installer,do NOT show up as installed in Cydia. Thats really annoying. Can someone tell me how to solve this issue?
    Thanks.

They never will... they are two independent programs that don't really "talk" to each other and compare installed programs. Just the way it is..

Can you do that without trashing your phone? or is that just the BSD subsystem after a Cydia install?

    Yes you can

    Here's how..

1- Get connected thru SSH, Ctrl+T and type "apt-get remove Cydia" in terminal.

2- If the package is physically gone, you can remove it from Installer by editing the installed packages file which is root/var/mobile//Library/Installer/LocalPackages.plist (thru SSH)

    3- Ctrl+F then type Cydia

4- Remove everything between <dict> and </dict> include the tags
    it's about 630 lines.

    5- Save your changes.

6- Shut down iPhone then power on again.

does this completely remove the fake bsd files so bsd can now be updated?
what if we changed our ssh password?
    still safe?

or full restore is the best way to uninstall?

    Default Cydia Problem!!
    Hey guys,

I installed cydia and everything seemed to be working fine, until now. It seemed to have caused dead spots in certain apps, like "text", when the phone is vertical the "send" btn is non active.
    Any way to fix this?

Please get back to me asap.

    Thanx.
